There is a seperate line for reservations, but you can just show up most anytime and get a site, you just won't be sitting right on the water,
You must call 90 days in advance to get a campsite. You call always go up and get an overflow site (dirt lot with cones). You can then camp at the day use till 10pm then go back to your overflow spot. We do it all the time as we don't know what were doing 90 days in advance. Campsites are cool but the lake Sucks!!!. At least they don't bother you like Castaic does now. They usally have one patrol boat out on the lake at a time. Nice playground for the kids also. Good luck!!
