We played down at the local watering hole last night. Turned out to be a Battle of the Bands type thing. We had a fuggin blast. Its awesome being up there and watching reactions, dancing, applause. Dragging the drums around after they close is a pain in the ass, but makes it all worth it when you're up there. I'll now return to myself...Wet Dream.

you got it about right Wet. I had to research to see just what southern rock was, and these are the names i would have chosen, except for SRV...i put him in a slightly different category...blues
I was suprised to find the Allman Brothers in that catagory too.

Mike, you are right, but it seems that there was a bit of southern influence through the years. Definately bluesy.
