Pretty ingenious, are you an HVAC tech?
It's a slow day at the shop....
Didja ever make something you knew wasn't gonna work but for some reason just couldn't help yourself?
This gadget works slightly better than gravity, but if I crank in more than 5 in Hg then the can implodes. I've been laughing at this thing since I turned it on.

LOL, I don't know if ingenious and tech are applicable here but the answer is sorta. I sell computer room air conditioners and so we have all the stuff to work on 'em in the shop.
I do all of my own A/C stuff at the house too.
My gizmo sucked out all of the old oil in about 15 minutes. I need to find a stronger container so I can run more vacuum.....
Just find an empty freon container. 30lb should do it. Vent it good and drill and tap a drain valve into it. Then you should be able to use vacuum to fill it up and then use an aircompressor to blow it out the drain when finished.
That's fng hysterical!
LOL..Let me know when it's perfected I'll take two
I saw the vacuum pump and guages and had to ask. So like Liebert A/C units?
I think you have a great idea. idea Im in the market for a vacum pump.
Very creative Hook it to a 35 gallon drum with some bigger hoses and don't forget to remove your breathers or your collapse your valve covers
KC
I'll bet there are some babes out there that could take the place of the vacuum pump.
