LUVNLIFE - I have a 6 banger Wrangler and do the dunes no problem. Myself and some friends all drive "cars" in the dunes without much incident. You won't be screaming straight up any large dunes (ala a rail/bike), but it's still a blast. We stray HEAVILY from the beaten path. Definitely a heavy learning curve though to the style of driving. You'll have to throw out your "Offroading-101" manual COMPLETELY. Also go with some friends. If you don't have anyone to go with, PM me - we're doing at least one more trip before end of season.
