It think that might have been the correct answer.
No some threads have it some don't. Maybe it only remembers the threads I've posted on?? But sometimes I'll click it and it doesn't go as far down the thread as my last post......

To be honest I have no idea what that does. In fact until you asked about it I had never noticed that button. UBB software (the forums) is very complex and works fairly well. I cannot edit the code as I do not work in Perl and I am not going to change software because we would lose all the old posts.
