46-Pilots are some brave people. Those birds are about as sketchy as any one helicopter ever built.
When you get in the marine ones they give you this this little bail out bottle (mini SCUBA bottle). I was joking with a buddy about it and we almost ditched in the ocean about 5 minutes later.

When I was in the Marine Corp we flew in them alot. They used to leak hydraulic oil all over us. I got worried and told the crew chief. He said don't worry unless it stops leaking.
Pickle the Load was telling me the same thing RR, there is a certain formula they use for how much its leaking and multiply it by how long their flight is so they know how much to put in, kind of funny.Worry when it stops !!

The guy in front of me, doing a recovery op where we climbed in a ladder in the back of the bird, after lining up in the ocean, slipped and lost his shit on all that grease. Busted a lip open.
I abhor that bird. That is the only airborne vessel I have ever been in that made more noise once it was off the ground than it did on the ground.
My heart goes out to the families.
Witchcraft crews on the Ch-47 and I fly with them whenever I can. Those are bad ass helo's. I feel for the lost crew and families. Prayers go out tonight. frown
