Small transmitters are easy to build. we used to have one at my old job, a bunch of us would bring in our cd's and we had our own little pirate station. You could pick it up for a mile or so, but we just had a crappy little antenna.
o.k. what the hell is the deal with 106.7 when you drive through the 909. i was on my way back from vegas driving through rancho cucamonga and it sounded like 3 teenagers on the phone making fun of eachother. and they were using every cuss word in the book, not edited. it almost seemed like someone hacked into the signal, right about the time i hit claremont/laverne area it got fuzzy for a minute and then started playing the normal KROQ

hmmmmmm interesting...
has anyone else ever heard this in the r.c./ontario area
Haven't heard that one before, but it would not surprise me.
I just moved from Orange County to Temecula and have pretty much lost KROQ....
They have a pretty weak transmiter which explains alot.
Josh
**** KROQ!!!!!!!!!
Moneypitt:
**** KROQ!!!!!!!!! Couldnt agree more.
K R O Q sucks. Are you sure you weren't listening to your CDF. H.T. ? Just kidding. I think there are certain areas in the I. E. that don't receive good radio signals.
It's because it is the 909 and their signal just goes around it.
What kind of music do you listen too while you say F... KROQ. I like KROQ music, if there is another station like 'em, what is it in the OC?
when im ripping at 90 plus i like to listen to yanni.........
