My bet is these guys are right. I doubt there were any changes at all. I bought an aftermarket unit for my Tundra and it bolted right up with no issues.
Im really happy with the towing performance and reliability of the rig. 97K miles and its still feels brand new. Doesnt burn a drop of oil.
my old boss was in a pinch and needed a reciever "right now" for his tundra, everywhere he went was out of stock so he made some measurements and bought a universal one from the local parts shack. it fit perfect and looks like it was custom fit for the truck.
Hidden Hitch part# 87588 will fit your truck perfectly. I checked on the other brands I sell and they all make hitches for your truck too.
