Is it worth the time and effort to add 1.6:1 roller rockers to a stock 5.7 merc?
Is the any clearance problem ?
Still ISO a set of used exhaust manifolds, tips & diverters for a sbc .

And you really should checkto make sure they don't cause any interference issues.
In the current HB under the outdrive tech there is a response from Tyler Crockett on this same topic that you might want to read.
Thanks to all guess i might as well just give it up and face the fact i am stuck with a grampa boat. Hard to justify spending tons of $ and time when it aint broke to begin with just slow.
Yep. IMO, if you want to try to get something of value from the 350 (5.7L), you still have to head toward a rebuild including proper cam, more compression if at all possible, intake manifold, and exhausts to let it breathe. You could fit the rockers in there for some added gains perhaps but just the rockers alone don't overcome the rest of the normal shortcomings. Even then, it's still a small-block. Not smacking it for that but trying to turn a prop to go very fast is tougher for their reduced torque (It's easier on the drive units tho :crossx: )
