Hey Rat"waxboy"...this is what you've been waiting for...we will all be waiting to here what a great time you had with (your) Boat...in the WATER.
Or we'll be waiting for the excuses

the CT river is 3-feet over over flood stage and supposed to creast friday morning. big trees drifting down and looks like choclate milk, so no boating up here.

a previous quote from brotha Rat:
I'm winterized...........but it would only take me 20 minutes to unwinterize.........still waiting for Indian Summer. smile_sp
What Hammer said 'Nothing but Love'
and by the way brother Rat, this looks like what i could afford and handle. The key here is 'turnkey' Too bad it is in Texas, just too far to go and too expensive to ship. I do believe i will escape bankruptcy yet.
i would settle for one like this (http://powerboatlistings.com/view/824)

I'll probally never live this one down....... . So I just might as well start posting my excuses right now.
Excuse #5. The water is to cold I'll never get my motor up to optimum operating tempature.
#4. Way to much debris floating, there still finding parts of Blown Daytona's dock washing around.
#3. The tide is not right, can't get it off the trailer.
#2. I promised the wife I would help clean the flower beds.
And excuse #1..................the gargage door is broke!
I bet Hammer wish's he held off on pulling that motor!

Don't be crying poverty with me.................I know where you live.
That looks like a nice ride for you.........bet you can get him down to around $10G's and that would free up $2500............more than enuf for shipping. I paid $1300. from the west coast.

Hey brother Rat: I checked out some things
    (as regards to indian summer)
    High:
    75°F
    Partly Cloudy
Wind: From the West Southwest at 5 mph
    Precip: 0 %
    Max. Humidity: 69 %
    UV Index: 4 Low
    Also the excuses seem valid:
Proof of excuse #3 (bad tide)
    Patuxent tide chart
    2003-11-01 03:23 EST 0.71 feet Low Tide
    2003-11-01 06:32 EST Sunrise
    2003-11-01 08:16 EST 1.40 feet High Tide
    2003-11-01 14:19 EST 0.42 feet Low Tide
(yes there is a low tide predicted TWICE that day)
Proof of Excuse #5 (water temp)
    http://mddnr.chesapeakebay.net/bay_c...c&station=TF15
(yes, at 61F the water is lower than 160F, the optimum operating outlet temp for that engine)
    Proof of Excuse #4 (debris)
Same here river is way up. Lots of junk in the water
(Dan66Stevens, in this thread mentions debris in NY as well as well as Blown428fe in CT. It is agreed that debris anywhere is unnacceptable)
Excuse #2(i promised) needs no proof. This is accepted as fact but thrown out as being inconcequential
The proof of Excuse #1(broken garage door) was not necessary based on the reliability of the previous excuses.
I think hammers motor is back in.
Guess it is the Swamp or the Potomac for me. Got my Doolies ready.
