19.5 wheels for 3500

Anyone out there put 19.5 wheels on a 3500 gmc dually. I just ordered a new dually and want to know if it worth the expense . and if I went with the original 16 inch wheels what is the tallest and widest tire a guy can run without lifting the truck?

My friend is running 19.5 on his.... he had them on there with no lift, but it's now lifted, and looks good

Alcoa makes some sick ass wheels. Look like semi wheels that will fit on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. If ya have the cash.

ive seen people run adapters to accept the 19.5s and it works good. just know that 19.5 tire sizes are very limited. but they do have much stronger ratings.
on the 16s i used a 235/85/16 on my 91 GMC dually without lifting it and it looked real good. though i did have to swap the 4.10 gears to a 4.56 to correct the speedo. plus it pulled better.

yeah some companies even dont make them in 8 lug...you need 8-10 lug adapters...and that sucks for the bearings in the front....you can ruin the hub if you drive it hard enough....i would stick to the cool looking alcoas....just my .02

Brentz Wheels, direct bolt-on wheels-no adapters or BS, keep in mind the weight of the new 19.5 tires versus 16s harder on brakes also the 95psi ride

Alcoa makes alot of hub patterns in both 8 and 10 lug for 19.5 wheels.
I certainly would not run adapters for this application..... waaay too much
risk............
I'd rather go up to a 20" rim rather than those 19.5 "metro" sized wheels.
tires aren't cheap in the metro category........
Michelin makes some nice tires........ XML's are a great tire..... expect to
pay near of 220 per tire though.......
