I was 21. It was a Panther Marine 18' jet. Rigged terrible, stuff was always coming loose and falling apart.
I was 19 when I got my first boat. It was a 16' Caddo, gold metal-flake and white. Rated for a 90hp weed whacker but I had a 150 on it.
Porpoised like hell but it would yank up 4 slalom skiers! That was in 1979. I would imagine it is in boat heaven by now, or sitting on blocks behind some rednecks trailer!

I was a thirteen year old, and got a YellowJacket 13' with a Merc Mark 58 45hp wacka on it. The year was 1912, (or does it just seem that long ago).

Did you really build it yourself, or did you have an Uncle River Dave?
