here's a few tidbits of trivia for ya .

    .The nursery rhyme
Ring Around the Rosey is a rhyme
    about the plague. Infected people
with the plague would get red circular
    sores ("Ring around the rosey..."),
these sores would smell very badly so
common folks would put flowers on
    their bodies somewhere
    (inconspicuously),
so that it would cover the smell of
the sores ("...a pocket full of
posies..."), People who died from the
plague would be burned so as to
reduce the possible spread of the disease
("...ashes, ashes, we all fall down!")

OK, the airplane Buddy Holly died in was a Beechcraft Bonanza, and was a charter airplane. I have never been able to find any referance that this airplane was called "American Pie".
I seriously doubt that any air-taxi operator (that's what they were called back then) would name it's airplane "American Pie".

    Agreed.
I've seen that floating around for a year or so, I think it's turned into one of those internet myths (it has to be true, it was on the internet) .
I do like the song though.

LOL, I found them interesting whether all true or not. I know Ring-Around-The-Roses is true, at least heard it before so it has to be true.
