You should be able to use shims to adjust your ride plate. As far as how to adjust it after adding a droop, you will have to see how the boat reacts to the droop and adjust accordingly. Probably will have to just mess around with it to see where the boat is happiest

Thanks for the help. Mike VG mike start @ about 5 degrees up from the bottom of the boat. flat on the side of the keel(next to the keel) on the side of the intake. start there then go lower by 1/8 at a time. make up some shims to do this. brad

MandMVG, He's right on the ride plate, but what you need on that big boat is the SNOOT. The one with 4 degrees up on the steering pin axis works best on that boat.

Not to hijack the thread but Duane do you sell replacement shafts for the jet aways? Mine is starting to show pretty good signs of wear! Also any ideas on how to help slow that process down? My yoke is trash after 2 seasons.

Maximus, Yes, we do sell them. Your's will be the first to ever wear out. I always keep some of the Ultimate gease on mine. It's 10 years old now and I do a lot of boating with about 1000 HP. I have also seen a couple of guys put a zerk in the yoke so they can grease it. If you do that, it's best to have a groove cut on the inside radius of the yoke for a place for the grease to go around in. One other thing. Make sure you have the right yoke. Agriculture stores sell a yoke that fits these jet boats, but they are real soft and are only made to handle 1800 RPM. They are a power take-off part and will turn into "Red Iron" very quickly.

That's exactly why we called is a SNOOT, instead of a droop.
