Any idea where I can get a new AC adapter for this older IBM ThinkPad? Is this a circuit city item? Also I belive the internal battery is bad. What should these parts cost?
My x left it here at my house...now it's mine
    Thanks for any info.

I buy my IBM batteries from IBM online store. I tried a few of the cross matched batteries and even though you can save some money they sucked. The IBM battery was no bother.
The AC adapter dont know. They should have those also but everything from IBM is expensive.

Thanks Randy, if both brand of batteries sucked, then the aftermarket brand is the most cost effective...correct.

No Sorry I was not clear. I bought three different aftermarket batteries. All said they would be for my Thinkpad 770. None worked well. I was starting to think it was the Laptop. Then I bit the bullet and bought from IBM. It worked great. Stick with IBM on the battery for sure.

    sorry dog
    Try ebay for the adapter.
Some adapters also work on other brands.
See how many volts it is supposed to put out.

Both of my ThinkPads are 16volt DC and I have an adapter from good Ole Radio Shack that works like a champ. Take the mo-sheen down there with you when you go to make sure you get the right adapter plug. Whole lots cheaper than Itty Bitty Minds....or I've Been Misled...or I've Been Moved...etc etc.

    Check a local Thrift Store.
They sometimes have that kinda junk and don't even know what they got.
