Thread: Oil Pressure

    I have a 99 GMC Suburban with a 454. Can anyone tell me what their running for oil pressure? Mine is saying something like 60-70 when running at 65 and 40ish when at a stop light idling. Just wondering what everyone else is running.

    '96 w/454.....when the engine is hot....40 psi cruising and 20 psi at idle.

    I am running 5W-30 like the oil cap says. Just wondered if that was too high. Looks like it is right on. Thanks.
