First off I am a GM guy and never liked Dodge but the quad cab Ram isn't bad looking and the price is right. Anyone have anything to say about them positive or negative? I would be looking at the half ton hemi. Thanks

I just bought one. It's a nice truck and that little hemi runs strong. I'm still grinning when I drive it.

Had a 96 Club Cab (didn't make Quad Cabs then) 1500 w the 5.9, traded it in w 80k miles on it, never any problems, now have an '01 Quad Cab 2500 w the Cummins w/30k miles on it, never had one problem at all.
    Great products, I reckon.
Just wish I had waited 2 yrs for the newer body stylke and maybe 4 full sized doors...
I can't give you any feedback on the Hemi motor, but I would have no reservations at all about making it 3 Dodges in a row for myself. I like the diesels. Cheaper than shit to operate, pulls like a real truck should...
    Thanks

We bought our 4x4 QC Diesel in July and have been very happy. Check the Tow Rig archives for tons of stuff about the trucks.
I agree on the best bang for the buck.

I have a 2001 Ram 2500SLT. 75,000 miles and not one problem. I'd go with the diesel, cheaper to operate and tons of power and 4X4. I traded from a 1500 with a 360 that got 12 miles a gallon. The diesel gets 20 on the highway.

I had a 98 quad cab and it was a POS!! 10 mpg at best with a 318 v 8 and I had major problems. The bottom end left the building when ithit 39,000 miles. I had an issue from 12,000 miles and took it back numerous times, until I bitched so much someone finally found a problem. even with that DODGE didne help me and did not stand behind their product when the chips were down. I have to invest 3000.00 to jet get rid of it, because it was past 36,000 miles. I felt they strung the problem along till milage was up and then to bad for me. I drive a toyota tundra now and love the truck just wish it was bigger inside, but the motor is flawless and ride is way more superior and so is interior noise more quiet. Not all storys end like mine but thats what happened to me. Ask questions and find out what the 7 / 70 coverage really covers before you buy. Good luck.
