7.4 MPI TO 502

OK I HAVE A 23' WITH A 7.4MPI, 300HP,, MY BOAT IS RUNNING ABOUT 63MPH,, IF I SWITCH OUT TO A 502 WHAT DO YOU GUYS THINK I/LL BE AT, AS FAR AS INCREASED SPEED, ALSO DOES ANYONE KNOW A PERSON WHO NEEDS A NEEDS A 7.4 WITH 180HOURS, 1998,,, AND IM ALSO LOOKING FOR A SELLER OF A 502..

I had the same engine in my eliminator and I just put in a HP 500 EFI. We went from 62mph to mid the 80's. You will love the 502!

I'm looking for a 502 Mag MPI also for my Eliminator 236 Eagle XP, wanting to upgrade from my 7.4 310hp.
hey KID.... what prop are you running to get speed that high? I have 22p Bravo One four blade that gives me a top speed of about 56mph.

KC, when I had my 7.4 I ran a 24p because the 22 would hit the rev limiter. I think I got it up to around 61-63 fully trimmed out and running on the ragged edge. Trust me, you will love the 502. You can cruise at 65 all day, and when you want to hammer it down you can hit mid 70's. Go for the motor.

My Eliminator 236 Eagle with the 7.4 MPI 310hp and the 22p Bravo has not hit the rev limiter yet, maybe I can trim it out of the water a touch more to get the RPMs up...
I spoke with doug, he does have one 502 with a bad cylinder, his winter project might coinside nicely with mine.
