In california we would call that Grass DEAD!
and in the Spring all we would have is WEEDS!

Its about 65 degrees here right now ...In January......

In the South we call it dormant ...come spring It comes right back....and looks like this.....

Weather was like that here Fri and Sat. Turned cold again today.
Bermuda grass goes dormant in my yard also.
The fescue/rye stays green.
Around here ...If it aint a truck ....There aint much use for it!....
I'm thinkin a nice riding mower has to be in the garage
