I am going with an electric ram/actuator. They are sold on www.eddiemarine.com . I am sure that rexmarine has them also, but eddie marines web site is easier for me to use and they send me catalogs
Where can I get one of these or one like it??? I saw this on the CP website but there wasn't a price. Anyone have any experience buying, installing, etc. Thanks.

Waldo, I would recommend staying away from the hydraulic actuators and go with the electrical. They are much easier to install and they are trouble free. We had a customer go through Cajon Pass one time when windy and the wind caught the underside of his hatch and started lifting it. Eventually it blew a hydraulic compression fitting (which are cheap) and when that happened, his hatch flew off into traffic and it blew oil all over the boat and engine. For the electronic ones, you will just need to install a 6 pole switch, get hot and ground from the dash, and run two wires to the back for the ram. You should be able to install an electric one in a couple of hours versus a full day for the hydraulic. I also believe that the electric ones are cheaper too. Good Luck.

Yeah the hydraulic ones don't thrill me, especially because the reservoir is cheap plastic... so oil leaks are almost inevitable.
But that being said, the electric hatch lifts are screw driven and mine in my Eliminator lasted about 2 years and needed replacement.
