San Diego was 77* today.........clear as a bell. Shorts and Tee shirts......Sorry for you. At least houses there are affordable.
Just in case any of you are considering moving back to the midwest, here's a reminder of what you're missing: 10 inches of snow in 6 hours, windchill 5 below zero, and there's too much snow on the lake to go out in the ice boats...

Nice weather,
My sister and her family live in Detroit. I have visited several times, always in winter. What a miserable place it was when I was there....
Makes you think twice about bailing from California...
Looks like fun, 70 here today and heading to the lake Friday
SWEETTTTTT!
I'm comming back this winter to go to the U.P. to do a lil snowmobling with my brother.
Oh, the bank sign said 80 today when I went by at 3:00.
Jim, I didn't pay that much more for my house. It's on a good size lot but not as big as yours. (I hate to mow grass anyway) And as you saw, I also have 2 garages.
The kicker is that if I wanted to buy the same house today, I couldn't afford it.
Yeah, real estate prices in So Cal are very expensive. But, on the other hand, my house has appreciated $500k in 3 1/2 years. I just hope I can sell before the next bust.
I'm from Grand Rapids, miss it for just a minute, I guess, haven't lived there since I was 2 so can't say I know what it's like. Have visited family several times, kinda fun to be in for a short visit!
