There are a few sets on e-bay right now.
990's would be fine, but I wouldn't mind something with a closed or semi closed chamber. Would really like to stumble on to some fresh ones with decent valves and springs...

I've got a set of 188's same thing as 990's make me an offer. Thye need a valve job but I'll supply new intakes the exh are inconel. Ported and the chambers are done too.
hey disco_charger, don't want to invade your thread, but if you come accross an extra pair of heads for my 502 block, let me know! thanks much...bill.
Hey guys I want to sell a pair of rectangle port 990 style castings. They are still on my boat. they a Merlin 345's with 2.30 and 1.88 valves with 10degree locks and titanium retainers, bronze guides and k 900 springs. they are the d port exhaust runners. if interested pm me or post. they are ready to run just bolt them on and go.
How much?
I have a set of bare 4026 open chambers or a set of 4291 complete that need a little work. I'll let either pair go pretty cheap.
What kind of work do the 291's need? 291's are closed port, rectangulars, right?
The 291's are rec. port with a smaller chamber off a 427. Some of the valves are getting a little sunk in the seat (shouldn't get ground agian)Springs are set up for a .620 lift solid cam. They came off a motor that was running but cracked the block.
Make me a offer, I'd love to get rid of them. They wont work on my new boats motor.
The 291's are a closed chamber head(bathtub style) with 108cc chambers, 990's are full open chamber heads with 122cc chambers, both take different pistons!..I would recommend the 990's, unless you already have closed chamber pistons!..
