Well The Blower Is OFF!!!!!!

Along with everything else on the top of the motor..... I checked compression on this motor today and found a cylinder that was around #65. So I pulled the motor apart. I found one burnt valve. I will do a valve job. Also will check the bearings and maybe a cam change.
I also found that water was leaking into the block at the water ports on each end of the cylinders. So its a good thing I pulled it apart.....:wink:

The block doesn't appear to be o ringed, what type of head gaskets were on the motor. I'm not sure what is best anymore, my motors are o ringed with copper gaskets but I see a lot of people recommending other types.

dan use the fel-pro 1017-1 or the 1021-1 gasket i dont think you need to o-ring your not makeing a lot of boost money well spent elsewere ckeck the bore and check the crank on the counter weight and let me know what you find

I already got a set of FitzGerald Blower head gaskets. These are suppose to be the Cats Ass.
As far as the cranks it is the Forged unit 3967416. The rods are 7/16 .
I think I need a bigger cam. This one only shakes my nieghors house a 1/2 mile up the road. lmao
He is inside his house eating lunch. He hears the this loud noise. He runs to the door to see what the Hell is going on.... He then realizes its just me running my motor in my garage......:wink:

What kind of boat do you have? 066 and i was talking about it yesterday and neither one of us could remember. You may have told at some time but old age has already set in. How about a pic or two?
I am pretty sure it is a blown alky motor?
