Flatrat and Sanger-rich,
Sorry about taking so long. Here are tha couple measurments from my Dads hydro.
His motor is 41 inches fro the transom.
The v-drive plate is 92 inches from the transom.
His is a 74 Sanger superlite pickle fork.
No problem,
Mine is -44" mtr to transom
92" gearbox to transom
I guess it's in the ballpark depending power plant ect. Thanks RK.
Mine is 31.5" from the back of the transom to the motor plate, and the casal plate is 74" from the back. So what does that say?????? It will be a tail dragger????
SangerRich,
I am not sure about the set up on the shovelnose.
Have you compared it to others? Is Flatrats a shovelnose?
My Dad did add that once the boat is up and running. You may find that you will want to move the motor forward or back.
His boat has never been in the water yet. His set up (measurements) are something he got from Sanger and talking to other guys. So nothing is set in stone.
Also it depends on the degree of the v-drive. angle of the prop shaft and so on.
I think some props will even "kick " the tail up more then others.
Ain't V-drives great?????
Oh, shit
I forgot I do own a shovel nose. And its never been rigged.
Just cant find the Hemi or V-drive I need....
Something the guys at Sanger built when they were Bored??
