HI I have an 82 Eliminator that I have completely restored and now I am fisnishing up the stereo system. I am running into a big problem. I only have room for one battery. I can get another battery upfront but I would like to stay away from running all the cables up front. I heard odysee made a good battery that is small to run my stereo. Does anyone know of anything that is made for this problem?

I have had good experience with Odyssey Battery's....they are smaller than other batteries that are rated around the same power...
    Try this website...
    Odyssey Batteries (http://www.odysseybatteries.com/)
I run the 1200's......but if you have space you may be able to fit a single 1700 which is a really powerful battery...check that site for the specs against what your space measurements are.

Have had VERY GOOD RESULTS from the stinger 1700.
Have replaced two optimas with one 1700.
Cost out here is about $300.oo

I wouldn't put a battery up front in the bow. The pounding will kill the plates in the battery and there is a significant risk of acid leakage.

Pretty sure the Stinger's are the same as Odyssey's? I think the Odyssey's are cheaper than the Stinger's too.

I would definetly stay away from putting the batt up front. If you want to do a nice system you should install a batt. switch and a batt. isolator along with whatever batt. you choose. You should try to keep both batteries the same type meaning don't mix wet cells with gel cells (optimas or whatever). Each type has different chargeing rates. The batt. isolator is used to keep your stereo batt from discharging your starting batt and allows the alt. to charge each batt independently. Hope this helps. If you have any questions e-mail me at chadzilla4ever@aol.com
