There was some talk of this, is this the stuff they were doing to the clevlands back in the day with pro stock?

    Blown,
Can you be more specific, as I am going to R&D a new exhaust port shape and size on my next BBF that will probably have no usefull benefit below 5000 rpm. Comes by way of a theoretical discussion with my SoCal friend running the 7-second nitro stuff.
What do you mean by milling?

Where they cut the flange area away and put some sorta alum plates to raise the exhaust port. Chris from stefs was talking about something like that.

I believe it was done on the Cleveland Pro Stock Glidden days to "raise" the roof of the ports when everyone realized nothing flowed at the flat floor.

How did they get the head bolts to work, as they are right along the face of the ports, I have seen some picks but nothing close up.
