Thread: Olds Cam Timing

Played around with desktop dyno and on my setup, retarding the cam made more HP at top end, at least on the software. It was encouraging enough that I set up my new motor so I can try it and change it back if it doesn't work out.
What the heck, we bought these boats so we could try stuff?

Hey I bet Jack probally has a degree wheel and I have dial indicaters and magnetic base degreeing a cam is easy.By the way I gave him your cell # he might call you to to go move his boat sometime this week just think It'll be killer having a 110 MPH jet boat behind your truck And to post some use full info to your thread I changed my timing chain on my 460 before it was retarded and I set it up on 0 and picked up a shit load of low to mid range power.

retard the cam for more top end, but you'll only gain a couple few horse, degree it if you want to be sure the cam was machined properly.
