    ANYONE EVER HEARD OF A FOUR CYLINDER IN FRONT OF A BRAVO DRIVE? MY COUSIN SWEARS HE HAS ON AN A 1986 CHAPPARAL SITTING IN HIS PASTURE. DOESNT MAKE ALOT OF SINCE TO ME BUT HEY I MGOIGN TO GO TAKE A LOOK.

    I think mercruiser had a variation of the chevy 2.3 4 cyl in small boats, as well as the 4.3 V-6 and up

    funny you bring that up i frequent a fishing board and a poster said he got a boat with a 4.3 combo and a bravo 1.i thought he might have not known the difference between and alpha and a bravo.

    What is the engine size? 3.7L? That engine is also known as a Merc 470 or 488 depending on the year. The bravo was introduced in 1988 and the alpha a few years earlier. So, unless somebody rerigged the boat, it won't have a bravo.
