Thread: Altitude adjustments

    Will my 2001 454mpi run ok at Lake Tahoe or is there an adjustment to be made prior to going out there? THANKS DJ

    If you're running fuel injection you shouldn't have to worry about it. Your fuel injection sensors will should do all the necessary calculations based on barometric pressure (altitude persay) and humidity.
    I am sure there is someone out there one step ahead of me on this...IE Infomaniac, 058, etc...
    But I believe the idea is there.

    It will run fine. Except be prepared for a signifcant loss in horsepower. If your running an outdrive, you might consider a skinner prop. Drop a few inches of pitch

    I didn't have to mamke any adjustments when I was there. Just noticed a little less HP. Have fun! It's awesome up there!
    Take a GPS though. Makes it easier to find different coves and places to see.
