? bbc canton oil pan #18-300

is any one else running bbc w/canton #18=300 oil pan and
having trouble with oil psi. from 5000-6200 rpm. i am adding
baffel between oil pump and cap,filling with 8 qts. of oil instead
of 9 + filter and switching to synthetic oil. I hope this works?
what do you think?
ALSO what pickup and clearence from pickup to pan is correct?

blown 454 with a-cut aggresser spinning it 6300 rpm

[Jet Hydro]

Spinning a little Blown 454, Aggressor A @ 6500.
Running a Canton pan with out any problems.
