I don't think there is a nice way to break up with someone. While not "nice", at least being straight forward and honest is respectful. I don't buy into that "it's not you, it's me" shit, either. Most relationships don't work. It doesn't have to be anyone. That doesn't make it hurt any less, though. I doubt anything can do that.
