Thread: Props on Alpha 1 drive....

Will the Alpha 1 drive accept Brave 1 props?
The reason I ask, is because I'm going to test several Mirage Plus 3 blade props, but I've heard some great things about the B-1 props.
However, I'm not sure if they will fit the hub on an Alpha 1 drive (darn 1986 boats...).
Does anyone know for sure? I'm currently running 23P Laser IIs, and I'd like to see if I can run 22P Bravo 1s 4-blades, and see if both hole shot AND top-end improve.

Yes, the alpha and bravo accept the same props, but I dont think your going to see any top end improvement going to a four blade, most of the post I see regarding this have lost between 2 and 4 mph, but you will see better planing times and better corner handling... good luck

I have never seen any speed lost with a 4 blades compared to a 3 blades. A four blades allows you to trim a little more, or run easier a higher drive. Does't mean I'm right.
