I love my Concord. It is a little under powered but I am building a new motor. I would go for the 502. Ronnie

    Ultra's 237xs (i think that's it) is a great boat with the 496. if you're looking for a V bottom.

Check out Lavey Craft! They are very near the 15/91 interchange.
The 21 runs right at 70 with a 496 and they are a smooth riding deep v hull!

If you want top quality and boat that can handle rough lake water I would look at the Howard with a 496 HO or what ever engine package you can afford.

In most respects, I think the 496 MAG HO is comparable to the old 502 MAG MPI. The horsepower and torque curves are slightly in favor of the new 496. The only weak spot on the 496 HO are the cast pistons. However, that shouldn't be too much of a concern in a normally aspirated application.
In the 23-25' category, I would take a close look at the Lavey 24, Shockwave 25, and Howard 25. I really like the 25 Shockwave! Very very well built and rigged with tons of interior room

The Shockwave probably has the most room out of any of these boats, but I'm guessing that the Howard may be the fastest...The best choice comes down to what your priorities are in a boat...

Does anyone know if Sonic is still in business? They had a really sweet looking 26 footer, think it was the Sonic 260. Looking for information on performance and build quality.
    Thanks,
    Rick
