Nah, I don't really watch a whole lot of tv, but every news program has to show gays tongueing each other at the altar for the last week, seems like. Must be for the shock value.?
My Dad calls the TV "the idiot's lantern", and I sometimes think he's hit the nail right on the head with that one.
