Toby= Who installed your system?
Make sure you pull the boat out into the middle of the street to demo it for him... Your neighbors love you, don't they Toby
Remember that the gear don't mean ssquat unless it's installed correctly....Toby's guy did a good job... DCB forgot to build a certain something to spec, but I think his buddy corrected it. Regardless, his system is one of the cleanest I've heard in a boat.... The line of FoCals he went with are definitely top notch...He should have used ARC or Zapco ref. amps though ..

I'm not Toby, but know the answer.. DCB did the original work, but his friend Dave did the new additions and tuned it .... He does it as a side job from time to time... I think he lives in Ramona, Toby?

Your higher ends speakers are built handle a lot of power and maintain good sq... Generally, round speakers provide less distortion ratio at higher volume when compared to 6x9's... This is why you see many people running multiple 6" speakers in panels vs 6x9's.... All depends on how loud and clear you want to be....
Would have to agree with the Roz again!
I dont think 6x9,s are necessarily the way to go , unless the boat is already cut for them.
In which case the Focal (690 pollyglass cv) and up models
sound very good as well as the new JL,s.
