OK, here's that classic 4X4 you've been waiting for. It is a 1959 Willys Wagoneer that has been converted to a 307 SB Chevy engine. This rig was owned by my family many years ago and I have since re-acquired it. I was a teenager when we owned it and let ne tell you, this is one 4-Wheeling MOFO!!! It has a T-90 Transmission and a Spicer 18 Transfer Case with PTO. It needs a bit of a restore as it's been sitting since 1988. But the drivetrain is all there and the thing is definitely able to be restored in to the famous 4-wheeler that it once was. It has been lifted slightly to allow for larger tires. Yeah, I love the looks of the old Willys Wagons. I remember back when I was a teenager helping to paint this one and also helped install the engineIt was very fun driving it too....everyone would stop and stare. Now I just got it back. But, it may prove to be too much of a project for me. Basically just needs everything hooked back up and adjusted in the engine to drive down the road! The previous owner also took off (and lost) the brake cylinder too so there is currently no brakes
. I just have too many projects. I did register it yesterday though...Registration is good until December now. That was quite a feat in itself since it hasn't been on the road and registered since 1988:eek!:
