I believe the owner said that was a "Blue Thunder" blower intake. You can find some more info about the setup here: http://www.banderlog.com/dcforum/DCForumID1/669.html
It is an awfully tall intake! Must be some reason for that.

I've seen intercoolers (Chillers) but what the hell is under that blower? I don't see a place for water to go in and out of. When i first saw it, I thought is was a (I want to look cool) type of thing. Like, See how big my motor is, it must be fast. Right....? Kinda like the spacer for those double pumpers. Why not turn them sideways and put them right on top of the blower? Must be another check me out thing.

It looks like the top half of a tunnel ram seting on a blower on a home made intake. Just a guess. Originally posted by HBjet:

I don't know about the manifold but that carb plenum is not a check me out thing. Those carbs look like Holley Dominators. They have a larger flange then the std double pumper and have an all around bigger body.

I know what your saying SD, but those aren't Doms. (Mr. Injecter Hat)
Check these out.

The Doms have a bigger main body like you said, and those look smaller. The top of the Dom main body us wider then the bowls.

it is a carb adapter made by mike kuhl enterprises, it isn't to look cool it is to keep the carbs in line to do away with all the side mount linkage bullshit. if anyone has ever seen a blower intake for a ford it looks just like a tunnel ram.
That's all that is, a FORD intake, remember HB, you gotta get that blower over the front distributor.

Mr. Injecter Hat stands corrected!
The later model Flux Capacitors require a large area to ground the normal operating 1.21 gigawatts. A modified one like shown will need even more ground. Where would you have put it?
That manifold looks like it has long intake
runners. That's going to change the peak
torque RPM.
