I have heard that lake Belton was nice. I was wanting to go there sometime this summer. Dont know when.
It's South of Waco and West of I-35 near Temple. It is a great lake, parts are more like a river. There is always calm water some where on the lake. In the lower part of the lake you can see down at least 6 ft or more. It's kind of a sleeper lake. Not to many people know about it. The camping facilities are excellent.
Texas Jet,
Where will you be at Lake Belton?
I have no plans right now but may come by and visit.
I am waiting for my injured ingnition box to be returned from MSD and if it gets back I may come up for a couple of day trips and will look you up.
The Belton dam is about 40 minutes from my house.
TX19, your lucky to live so close to a great lake. We will be at Cedar Ridge Park site # 36 ( I think ) . It' just off 36, N-W of Temple. Hope to see ya.
I will be home working on the boat, call my cell when your on the way. Look forward to seeing yours.
From what ive seen from the shore that is an awsome lake.
I held a car club meet up there last summer some place on the east side of lake. I loved it. the view is very nice. Cant wait to drag a boat up there.
I was amased to see blue water. lol
My home lake of Lake Houston looks like Willy Wonkas choco river.
How was the weekend, Had a view problems with the boat, hose leak and and the pump had no gasket on the cap. The prop is way to small. Will go to 23/25p this week and see what happens. I was very happy with the power change. What a hole shot and mid range speed. Wnt out every day, plenty of jets out for the weekend. Lets try and plan a trip together.
