I am new here and to cali. I have a family in lake isebella and will be there all weekend. I looked at the NJBA site but want to know if this is a good bench racing event for my 2 1/2 Yo. She does in fact love boats. I herd there was a sand pit and playground for kids is that true? I just don`t want to show up and find out I should have brought somthing or need to leave. Thanks Brad,

I brought my 2yo boy to this event two years ago. I have a photo of him in Tony Scarlota's capsal boat somewhere (thanks again JBG). He had a great time. I don't remember a sand box or playground, but he just stayed with me the whole time (he's good that way).
You should be fine taking the lil'girl.
Make sure you root for my buddy in the 006 Hondo T-Deck - Robert Ojeda (aka 77Charger)!!!

Nice play ground with a swing set and sand box right before the finish line. It's in the perfect spot!
When I raced we had a 3 yo on the crew. He loved it out there.

Did you keep the 3yo around to work on the jets?

My favorite part was the merry go round, I used to beat up all the kids and then make them spin it around with just me on it. Those were the days.
I remember seeing you out there Dave. You were the biggest kid in the sand

That kid used to wipe down the running gear and sprits it all down with WD between rounds. That was his job and he thought he was the shit to be able to do it. Was pretty cool really.

Unfortunately, If memory serves, I believe they removed the merry-go-round from the sand box before the last race of the year (last year)...

That's cool. He was big man on campus to be able to work with the big kids. That's really cool.
