Gen VI is good. Rear main just slips over the rear of the crank. Cannot use a mechanical fuel pump on the 502's. The 454's might be different. I know some are different.
    Did you get my number?
I got my eye on a Gen VI motor complete. If i buy it i will give you a call.
Do those Edelbrock heads work fine on a Gen VI block or is there something special you have to do to make them work. Ive read that their are some differences in the head gaskets.
Also, is there a difference in the crank for a GEN IV AND GEN VI or is the real seal just difference. If so, who makes cranks for GEN VI?
    Thanks.

Is this a 502 Gen VI block? How can you bore it out to 4.56. If my calculations are right, thats .090 over from the factory 4.466. Its been said by others that .060 is the most you can bore out a GM block. Im trying to understand and learn which blocks can be bored to this large of a bore. Thanks.

    A Gen VI 502 can go 4.600.
The Dart and Merlin 502 blocks can go 4.625 and then some.
