21 Schiada prop size?

Just finished my 21 schiada and need some help dialing in the prop. It has a 565 Gentry twin turbo with 50 gears. It dynoed 1050 hp at 5500 rpm. I have a 11 1/2 X 15 2 blade but have not had a chance to try it yet. Any suggestions?

Talk with Tom At Menkens V-Drives... He will dial you in...If I were to guess though... 11 3/4 X 16 High Rake 2 blade...He will probably be at Needles with a few props to try and sell....Call Him...530-885-0531

I've got approx 950 hp and 45's gears. I'm running a ss three blade menkins 11.5 x 16 at 5500 rpm.

1140 HP with 48 gears running 11 3/8 x 15 3/4 Precision.

EZE, you've got a great starting point with that prop. Use it as a guide and move on. Over the years, I really liked the new 3 blades available mostly for their smoothness. You've got a great ride...

Kinda strange Phil would suggest a 2 blade for a 21'er. He was kinda wigged out that I had a two blade on mine. Told him that was what it came with and he insisted that it was the wrong one for the application. Hell, I don't know, seemed pretty ok to me.

3 blade on that boat will be great to about 90, nice and smooth. With big power above that though you will sacrifice speed and the 3 blade will produce some unwanted tail lift which at 100+ isn't a good thing.
