Holy crap...sorry the pic came out so big.

I ran across this at Loose Caboose hobby store in Napa CA yesterday. In spite of the $38 price, I had to buy it. Don't see too many models of V-Drive boats...the only other one I ever remember was the "Hemi Hydro."
I opened it up last night and checked it out. Being an "expert" model builder when I was a kid, it's very good quality and very detailed. It looks very close to a Kindsvater flat. There's an option to make it a "ski boat" or a "drag" boat. Nice model...maybe I'll even build it someday! Oh, there weren't any more at the store...
Holy crap...sorry the pic came out so big.
I still have 2 of the "hemi-hydro" models in the box with the plastic.
It still bugs me they would call a flat a hydro!!!
Saw one of those on ebay the other day. Had a wood veneer with it to make a wood deck. It went for abou 40.00. I had one when I was a kid. I think it came with a Ranchero. Way cool.
At one time there was a RaysonCraft model. If I ever see one, it's mine.
Not if I see it first!
I see these boats on Ebay from time to time! $38.00 is a good price.....C'mon!
this one's cool too...

I have a friend that's doing a book on model box art, you can't believe the boat models that were available back in the day.
I think the one with the pontiac convert is a re-release, here's a guy on ebay with a bunch of them for sale.
