and put that thing on a diet
I wanted to know your guys opinion on this. I have a heavy (1800lbs with BBF) V bottom 18 ft jet.
I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS ON THE WATER YET.
The jet is a 12jc rebuilt by performance boats in grand rapids. It was done in the late 90's but has never been in the water yet.
"a" impeller, droop snoot, 9 vane bowl, and place diverter.
I am not intrested in speed, just the best hole shot I can get. I am going through the berk, just to make sure after setting all these years everthing is still cool.
While I am doing this I was wondering what would be better for a improved hole shot,
"AA" impeller or
inducer impeller?
Close to the same price with my 350-400 HP motor as I can run an Aluminum.

run the A imp and the inducer helps all over
I had a heavy boat with 900+hp.The inducer made a world of difference in mine.I ran a legend B with inducer at 6400rpm.I miss my jet!
Both would help but I would stick with the A and get with Duane at HTP and get the inducer. I put one on my cheyenne and it helped a lot. I use a B and with 1000 + hp I was having a hard time at the start with spinning the impeller. I could not believe the difference. I also put one on my Condor TX-19 lake boat. It made a difference also. I could flat foot the thing and it would hook and go.
