What causes this idle surge condition? This may be the sickest I have ever heard.

Mine are very sensitive to surge. If I richen up the idle circuits a hair, they will go into a surge.

Does this mean that you've got bigger jets in one side of the carb than the other? Couldn't you just turn one of the carbs around backwards and it would balance itself out ?

Yup, make sure you get some big power valves for the idle circut too.

Don't forget to make sure the accelerater pumps have big enough jets.
