Ok, I just went through my second one in 6 years! It's a 1998 454 Mag... I'm thinking I'd like to put a strainer after the pump so I can catch all the pieces from the impeller when it breaks up, and this would also tell me when the impeller was going as I would see pieces in the filter.
Has anyone done something like this?
Does anyone know the flow rate on the pump?
Does anyone make a heavier duty pump?
    Thanks!
    Mike
