We thought we may be able to use the locked out mag, but it was a pain in the ass, and even when we got it running it didn't feel right, so rather than damaging something we parked it and enjoyed a relaxing weekend. I think my brother is going to buy a cheap distributor for now, and save the mag for the blower motor he wants to build. It drives nice, and feels like it's going to go alright when we get all the bugs worked out. Thanks again for the tach it worked fine.
