Cometic Gaskets are number one hands down! Finanly someone else has come up with something improved.

I'm sure he wanted the engine sealed. Felpro is the only gasket that after a season you can undo the head studs and pull the head off. Now ask yourself. . . .was that sealed?
Cometic is good stuff, the new SCE composite is good, the best was the old Detroit stuff, but since they have been swallowed up by Corteco, they have destroyed the Detroit stuff.

Cometic's are the shit no dought(just make sure you remove the rivets)!.For a 12.5 motor the FelPro 1017-1 gasket is perfect, and yes they seal and you can pop the heads off no problem, that's the way they are made. In fact if they came off clean they can be reused, I've used them 3 times with no leakeage whatsoever!..
