What water is that. It looks desolate and smooth. How far can you run in it.
The Potomac up in Hagarstown is pretty smooth, but only about 10 miles long, and not very wide. At 60mph that aint much runnin. About 75 minutes away
The Potomac from DC south is endless and huge but can have big traffic and get pretty rough. Also has alligators that will eat any part of the boat they get their teeth into. Only 15min away.
The Pax, about 45minutes away is somewhat salty in places but long and nice. Maybe Brother Rat, SuperSoaker, Marineboy or Hotrod will take me up there this summer.
Havre, about 120minutes away is by far the biggest, best water i seen. The sandbar is awsome. Big as some states.
Lake Anna, about 120 minutes away is rather small and crowded.
Seneca, about 40minutes away is great, but shallow and lined with boats that have sunk there hitting the ever moving rocky bottom. That is one of Brother Moo's territories.

Its the Kanawha River, its close to 30 miles between locks. It may look desolate, but on the weekends in the summer it is wall to wall boats and jet skies. Only if you go to either end of the pool can you get some decent water. It had been raining all day sunday, till the sun came out about 4:00 in the afternoon. We sat and waited for 40 minutes while all the bass boats loaded as they finished their tournement. About fifty boats. If you go through the locks on either end you realley get into some water. If you went west from the ramp, you could go all the way to the Gulf of Mexico. Down to the Ohio and then on into the Mississippi.
