here is another pic of the acrylic before cutting
Ive read some trheads on this before and since I was attempting to making this thing myself, I thought Ide share my adventure.
I made this splash for less than 40 bux. I used my buddies single stage cooker to heat the 1/4" acrylic then formed it to the rear of my Jet boat. I just may make it to the lake.
This is my second try at it. 3/8" was hard to heat up and bend so I tried 1/4" and it was cake! I cracked this on while cutting it. I was in a hurry again. I still have a chunk left to make a new one if I have to.
It wasnt so hard once I clamped the splash to the rear of the jetboat it all came along. here are some pics if it works

Now does anyone know where I can get that beaded fabric or gasket material to finish it off???
Looks good man!
Nothin like doin it yourself plus savin some$$$$$$$$ for beer money. I'd think any upholstery shop could give you the beaded material. I think it's called "pipeing" not sure on the spelling.
Peace Man!
