Thread: What size tires can I fit on 04 Silverado?

I wasn't planning on a lift kit, maybe just torquing the front torsion bars to level out the truck....any thoughts on that?
I put on a 9'6" overhead camper so a lift kit would not be wise, and I have a Wrangler for offroading anyway.
The new ride is a 3500 SRW, longbox, crewcab, Dmax/Ally 4x4 with all the goodies.
What can I fit inside those wheel wells without rubbing? I will need E rated tires too......
    Assume new wheels and tires.
    Thanks.

Senior Mandy, I put 285's on mine and it will rub once in a while. If you go any bigger you will need a lift.
But then again, you have 1000 more than I do so who the f' knows.

I had 295/75/16's on my 2500. Nitto's on Welds, and I think they were load E's. Sold them to havasuhangin last week. I had no rubbing after cranking the torsion bars and very minor front fender trimming. You might try PM-ing him to see how they're working out for him and his 2500 burb.

One of the other techs at work is running the 285's with just a little trimming work. He's a happy camper with em.

I am running 285's on mine, no problems. I may be selling the wheels and tires soon. Give me a call if you are interested.

I'm running 285/75R16's on mine. They rub occasionally because I'm on a 16x10" wheel. I have the reindexed torsion keys, but just haven't gotten around to putting them on yet...

I didn't shrink the pic so you can really get a good idea. If it auto sizes it, the pic is in hotboatpics.com

    Jordy,
Is your truck a 2500 or 3500? I probably missed it, is it Diesel or Gas?

It's a 2500HD. Last I heard (this post being the first) you couldn't get a 3500 unless you went with the dually. They like to change things up all the time though. It's got the Duramax/Allison combo.
